Junior Golf America 2008

Parents, Caddies, and Spectators Rules and Regulations

JGA welcomes everyone to participate in our junior tour series. Below are the guidelines for non player participants.
  • Proper golf attire is required for all spectators regardless of age. NO JEANS.
  • Golf carts will NOT be made available to any spectator under any circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • Caddies are permitted for ages 8-11 only. Caddies are not permitted to line up players shot attempts or overcoach the players at any time. Please stick to basic caddy duties outlined in the USGA rule book.
  • Spectators are allowed to observe the play of tournament players from a distance. That distance is approximately 50 yards from the players involved. Spectators are not permitted to walk down fairways or greens. Any violation of this rule could cause ejection from the golf course.
  • Parents are permitted to observe the play of tournament players from a distance. That distance is approximately 50 yards from the players involved. Parents are not permitted to walk down fairways or greens. Any violation of this rule could cause ejection from the golf course and create a 1 shot penalty to your child.
  • Parents may participate as forecaddies this year. JGA welcomes any help it receives regarding the improvement to the pace and conduct of it’s players. As a forecaddie parents are still required to limit contact with players regarding their play. We ask that the forecaddie simply helps the players find their errant golf shots and then the parent must create distance between himself /herself and the player.
  • Availability of access to the course is determined by the individual golf courses and is not at the discretion of JGA.
  • JGA is governed by the USGA rules of play(USGA Rules of Golf Handbook). We also recognize the NJSIAA rules of participation and eligibility.
  • Daily rules for play will be posted at each tournament.
